Portland Oregon
Timberline - Government Camp
Min Age : 21+

Join the team at Progression Sessions for a shred journey to Mt Hood, a volcano just outside of Portland Oregon where you’ll get to experience a snowboard adventure unlike any other; slushy soft turns, wide groomers, open natural faces, and WORLD CLASS PARKS, all aloft a heavy winter snowpack make this destination the primary stop for riders across the globe to challenge their personal best in under the summer sun.

In this session are primary avenue for progression is FREESTYLE, however we’re keeping our focus broad so we can take advantage of all the opportunities this very special week provides; from surfy laps in T-Lines transition park to dialing in your frontside boardslide in the FTC, we match diverse terrain with your goals so you’ll leave with an unparalleled level of strength and confidence. Since education is what we do so we hire the BEST coaches in the world, and we ensure you level up by keeping our groups small (4 riders per 1 coach).

  • Joshua Thompson-Bourrie, Progression Sessions Founder, AASI-W Ed Staff, and Staff Trainer at Palisades Tahoe
  • Erick Espinoza, Competitive Freestyle Coach, AASI-W Alumni Staff, and Staff Trainer at Jackson Hole
  • Stephanie Wilkerson, AASI National Team Alumni, AASI-W Ed Staff, Founder of Altitude Snowboarding

Your adventure kicks off the moment you land in Portland! We’ll scoop you up from the airport and bring you straight to Collins Lake Resort, right in the heart of Government Camp. Forget cramped hotel rooms—your home base is a spacious 1,250 sq. ft. townhouse shared with no more than four other riders. With 2–3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and even a garage, you’ll have plenty of space to spread out, cook, and recharge.

When it’s time to hang out, the fun keeps rolling: we’ve got a dedicated staff house for casual socializing, a clubhouse for big group dinners, and several hot tubs perfect for relaxing and swapping stories with new friends.

On the mountain, progression is the name of the game. Our coaches ride with you until your legs give out (or ski patrol says it’s time to quit!). Each day has a theme carefully designed to match your goals, build confidence, and keep the stoke high. By stacking one day’s focus on the next, you’ll ride away with new skills you never thought possible.

And the fun doesn’t stop when the lifts close. Evenings are packed with optional adventures like waterfall hikes, video analysis sessions, hot tub yoga, or pool flips. Want a quieter night? Kick back in a hot tub, explore the forest, or just relax with your crew.

Food is fuel—and we keep it flexible and FUN. Every townhouse is stocked with the essentials for hearty breakfasts and healthy packable lunches. We’ll also make grocery runs so you can grab anything you need. For dinners, you’ll enjoy three epic, photo-worthy feasts: a welcome dinner at the lodge, a midweek night out at a local restaurant, and one giant closing celebration. The other nights are yours—explore local restaurants in Government Camp or show off your cooking skills back at the townhouse.

Prefer to drive yourself to Mt. Hood? No problem—meet us at the lodge and let us handle the rest.

This is a high intermediate to expert Snowboard session, PREVIOUSE PARK IS NOT REQUIRED participants must be able to safely make turns on black groomed terrain. This session has a minimum participation of 9 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 30 days of travel you will receive a full refund.

Book 4 people on the same reservation and we’ll assign your whole group a private condo for the week. Attend both Sessions June and we’ll cover your lodging in between for FREE!

*Please note this itinerary may be amended based on participant needs and the conditions of the day.

Day 1, Tuesday – Arrival Day

Touch down at PDX by 4pm (or meet us in Government Camp by 5:30pm) and settle into your townhouse. That evening, we’ll kick things off with a family-style welcome feast at our lodge—great food, new friends, and a chance to connect with your coach about your goals for the week ahead.

Day 2, Wednesday – Fundamentals and Tuning Workshop

We roll out to the lifts around 8:30am for a full day on the mountain. Your coach will help align your riding, gear, and goals while showing you around the terrain. You’ll leave the day with a clear plan for progression. In the evening, we’ll host a hands-on waxing and tuning session so your board rides fast and smooth all week—skills you’ll keep long after camp ends.

Day 3, Thursday – Progression & Video Analysis

Now the fun gets focused. You’ll ride with your coach, working directly toward your goals while they capture video of your best. Later, we’ll gather for a deep-dive video session, breaking down your riding frame-by-frame to give you clear, personalized steps forward. It’s pro-level analysis made easy and accessible.

Day 4, Friday -Smart Riding & Team Night Out

By now your legs are starting to feel it, so today is about progressing smart. Coaches will tailor sessions to keep you moving forward without burning out. After riding, we’ll switch gears and head down the mountain for a fun group activity followed by hosted dinner at one of our favorite culinary spots.

Day 5, Saturday – Something New

Today is all about expanding your horizons. Each coach leads a specialty clinic based on their personal passion—whether that’s posi-posi freeride, half-pipe throw down, ground tricks and jibs. You’ll get the chance to try something totally new and add more variety to your riding toolkit. Cameras roll again so you’ll have video highlights to review later.

Day 6, Sunday -Mystery Solstice Session & Celebration

It’s the longest day of the year, and Mt. Hood goes all out for Summer Solstice! We’ll ride until our legs say no more, shaping the day entirely around your goals and group energy. When the lifts stop spinning, we’ll cap the week with a huge celebration—because progression deserves a proper party.

Day 7, Monday – Goodbyes (or Round Two?)

All good things must come to an end… or do they? Departing flights leave after 9am, and we’ll make sure you’re at the airport with plenty of time. But if you’re not ready to stop progressing, why not stay on for the next session?

*Please note if registering for 2 consecutive sessions we host you for the two nights in between each session free of charge.
