Understand your skiing. Refine your technique. Become your own teacher.
“You know how to ski. But have you ever stopped to think about what makes your skiing work? Let’s explore how you move, how your skis respond, and what a little more understanding can do for your progression.”
Ski Boot Camp is a two-day technical workshop at Boreal Mountain designed for intermediate to advanced skiers and instructors who want to refine their technique, overcome performance plateaus, and take greater ownership of their progression.
Through personalized coaching, on-snow video analysis, and purposeful practice, we’ll explore the five skiing fundamentals—key variables that help us break down the complexity of skiing and understand how our movements influence our skis’ performance.
First, you’ll learn to use these fundamentals to analyze your own skiing, recognize existing movement patterns, and identify opportunities for improvement. From there, you’ll work with your coach to put that understanding into practice, pursue a personal skiing goal, and develop a measurable plan for continued progression.
Whether you’re looking to improve your turns, build confidence in challenging terrain, or strengthen your technical understanding as an instructor preparing for certification, this workshop meets you where you are and gives you the tools to move forward.
You’ll leave with more than two days of coaching. You’ll have a clearer understanding of your skiing, a personalized direction for improvement, and a repeatable process you can use every time you step onto the snow.
Your First Step Toward Becoming Your Own Teacher
Foundations 1.0 is the first of three workshops designed to help you understand your performance and guide your own progression. Each workshop stands on its own, while completing the series provides a more comprehensive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and making intentional changes to your technique.
The Foundations Series complements our specialized workshops but is not a prerequisite for attending them.
This workshop has a minimum participation of 4 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 14 days of the start date you will receive a full refund. LIFT TICKETS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION PRICE

Sunday | Understand Your Skiing
Learn to see your skiing in a whole new way.
We’ll begin by introducing the five skiing fundamentals and exploring how they help us understand the relationship between our movements and our skis’ performance.
Through on-snow exercises, video analysis, and personalized coaching, you’ll learn to recognize your existing movement patterns and identify opportunities for improvement. We’ll compare your skiing with demonstrations, explore how different movements affect your performance, and practice refining a specific fundamental.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your skiing and a process for evaluating your own performance.
Monday | Put Your Understanding Into Action
Turn what you’ve learned into meaningful progression.
Today is about you and your personal skiing goals. Whether you’re looking to refine your turns, improve your consistency, or develop a specific skill, your coach will help you apply the movement analysis process to something that matters to you.
Through purposeful practice, video feedback, and guided self-evaluation, you’ll identify the movements that can help you achieve your goal and learn how to make intentional adjustments.
You’ll finish the workshop with a personalized, measurable progression plan and the tools to continue improving long after our time together.
The goal isn’t just to ski better for two days. It’s to learn how to become your own teacher.
