Your journey starts at the Portland airport where we’ll pick you up and take you to our private lodge walking distance from main street and 6 miles shy of the Ski area base. If you prefer to drive you can meet us in Government camp where you can park your car and leave the rest of the driving to us.

Mt Hood Chalet

L’Alpiniste

Snow Bird

We’ll spend our five days on snow focused on you and your goals. Mt. Hood hosts a wide variety of terrain, so if you’re looking to improve your turns, stomp your first 180, take a 50 laps through the halfpipe, or finally dial in your euro carve, the opportunity awaits. We’ll have unlimited access to Timberlines famous FTC (freestyle training center) and Public Parks for all 5 days so if jumps and jibs are your jam you’ll be more than stoked.

Off hill we’ll support your adventure through a variety of optional restorative activities like dance-offs, forest waterfall hikes, and lakeside meditation. And for those who like to socialize with a beverage, a game, or in a hot tub, options are abundant. We’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be cooking at our lodge for a family style feast, or we’ll make a reservation at one of the many local restaurants. We’ll cap the entire session off with ceremonious gifts and celebration as by the end of the session we’ll be a pretty tight group, which means you’ll not only be leaving with tired legs, but with new friends you can lean on to propel your snow story even further.

This is an intermediate to expert Snowboard session, participants must be able to safely make turns on black groomed terrain. This session has a minimum participation of 8 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 30 days of travel you will receive a full refund.

Day 1, Sunday, Arrival Day

Arrive at PDX by 4pm or Government Camp by 5:30pm. We’ll get moved in and have a leisurely dinner at our lodge where we’ll discuss the week ahead, have a chance to review your ambitions for the week with your coach, and get to know your fellow campers.

Day 2, Monday, Fundamentals and Tuning Workshop

We’ll leave for the lifts around 8:30 and you’ll spend the day with your coach getting yourself, your gear, and your ambitions aligned with the mountain. On this day your coach will take you through a variety of riding activities and terrain elements so we can get a clear picture of you as a rider, and you can gain a clear understanding of available terrain to more clearly set some achievable goals.  After riding we’ll head back to our lodge, for a workshop on waxing and tuning your board, followed by a feast and a team building activity at our lodge.

Day 3, Tuesday, Focused Riding and Rider Analysis

You’ll spend the day with your coach working on your goals. Coaches will spend a little extra time on this day collecting video for later deep dive on the big screen at our lodge. Off-hill video analysis and performance mapping are two of the many methods your coach will use to get you on the path to progression. Through detailed comparison of your current performance and your ideal performance, we’ll connect small tasks and subtle movements to your greater goals, unlocking a sequence of skill acquisition that is personal, achievable, and easy to understand.

Day 4, Wednesday, Focused Riding and Recovery

This is the day that fatigue usually sets in, to reduce the chance of injury we’re going to take a very careful approach to your progression. Based on the lessons of the previous evenings rider analysis session, your coach will take you through a series of tasks to move you closer to your goals without pushing you past any physical limits. After snowboarding we’ll head to the windsurfing mecca of Hood River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. On route we’ll get a chance to see the northside of Hood with its craggy glaciers and rugged terrain and we may even catch a glimpse of Mt. Adams. In town we’ll spend some time at the waterfront park checking out the view and stretching our legs, after some riverside fun we’ll kick it together for a nice dinner in town.

Day 5, Thursday, Coaches Clinics

This day we are taking a break from the goal focus and were setting the stage for you to learn something entirely new. Coaches will spend the first half of the day hosting a clinic based on something they are passionate about, examples include: positive stance Japan Style Carving, Hand Plants Everywhere, Knuckle Butters, etc. THEN.. After a late lunch we’ll change it up and have an open “free form” afternoon where you can grab a coach, take some laps with a new friend, or go chat up your favorite pro.

Day 6, Thursday, Focused Fun Riding and Celebration

For our final day on the hill we’ll to put all that effort to good use and ride till our legs hurt. We’ll make sure to catch a clip of your progression and take in the good vibes with our new friends. Afterward you’ll have a chance to pack up a bit before our final Celebration and video expose of your efforts!

Day 7, Friday, Departure Day

All good things must come to an end (or you could stay for another session??). Departing flights must be scheduled after 9am. Coaches will make sure you are at the Airport at least 90min minutes before your flight departs.

*Please note an extra night of accommodation before and/or after the session is available for an extra fee. If registering for 2 consecutive sessions we host you for the two nights in between each session free of charge.
