It has been several months since you skied. Let this workshop help you revisit the skiing fundamentals and set you up for fun and success in the upcoming season. Through an in-depth examination of the 5 skiing fundamentals, on snow movement analysis and detailed off snow video analysis, you will gain a deeper understanding of how subtle body movements relate to skiing outcomes in a big way. By the end of the workshop you will be equipped with a plan for the entire season and be able to make thoughtful adjustments to your own skiing, leading to less injuries, more progression, and ultimately more FUN!
If you have been skiing for a while and find yourself plateauing, this workshop is perfect for you; or if you have graduated to intermediate terrain and want to make sure you are on the right path, we got you covered. Groups will be based on ability and experience. This workshop is designed for the low-intermediate to advanced skiers.

Sunday
Meet upstairs in the Boreal Day Lodge 8:30am. We will spend the morning warming up with and without skis feeling the effect of our joints and body parts on our skis in the snow. For some it will be a review, for some it will be a new way of looking at your skiing: breaking down rotation, edging and pressure skills. Video will be used to show your progress throughout the day. The emphasis is on repetition and helping you understand what you need to work on. We will also cover the pros and cons of ski equipment vis-à-vis snow conditions and terrain.
Monday
Meet upstairs in the Boreal Day Lodge 8:30am. We will start the day warming up and revisiting the previous day’s lessons. We’ll then adjust our focus to a second environment, (example: off piste (if available), easy airs, short turns) upping the challenge from the previous day blending efficient movements with dynamic outcomes. We’ll finish off the day by providing an opportunity for you to have a one on one discussion with your coach where you’ll develop a short personalized plan for your season long progression.
