Understand your riding. Refine your technique. Become your own teacher.

“You know how to snowboard. But have you ever stopped to think about what makes your riding work? Let’s explore how you move, how your board responds, and what a little more understanding can do for your progression.”

Snowboard Boot Camp is a two-day technical workshop at Boreal Mountain designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders and instructors who want to refine their technique, overcome performance plateaus, and take greater ownership of their progression.

Through personalized coaching, on-snow video analysis, and purposeful practice, we’ll explore the six snowboarding fundamentals—key variables that help us break down the complexity of snowboarding and understand how our movements influence the board’s performance.

You’ll learn to use these fundamentals to analyze your own riding, recognize existing movement patterns, and identify opportunities for improvement. Then, with guidance from your coach, you’ll put that understanding into practice by working toward a personal riding goal and developing a measurable plan for continued progression.

Whether you’re looking to improve your turns, build confidence in challenging terrain, or strengthen your technical understanding as an instructor, this workshop meets you where you are and gives you the tools to move forward.

Your First Step Toward Becoming Your Own Teacher

Foundations 1.0 is the first of three workshops designed to help you understand your performance and guide your own progression. Each workshop stands on its own, while completing the series provides a more comprehensive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and making intentional changes to your technique.

This workshop has a minimum participation of 4 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 14 days of the start date you will receive a full refund. LIFT TICKETS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION PRICE

Sunday | Understand Your Riding

Learn to SEE your snowboarding in a whole new way.

We’ll begin by introducing the six snowboarding fundamentals and exploring how they help us understand the relationship between our movements and the board’s performance.

Through on-snow exercises, video analysis, and personalized coaching, you’ll learn to recognize your existing movement patterns and identify opportunities for improvement. We’ll compare your riding with demonstrations, explore how different movements affect your performance, and practice refining a specific fundamental.

By the end of the day, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your riding and a process for evaluating your own performance.

Monday | Put Your Understanding Into Action

Turn what you’ve learned into meaningful progression.

Today is about you and your personal riding goals. Whether you’re looking to refine your turns, improve your consistency, or develop a specific skill, your coach will help you apply the movement analysis process to something that matters to you. Through purposeful practice, video feedback, and guided self-evaluation, you’ll identify the movements that can help you achieve your goal and learn how to make intentional adjustments.

You’ll finish the workshop with a personalized, measurable progression plan and the tools to continue improving long after our time together.

The goal isn’t just to ride better for two days. It’s to learn how to become your own teacher.
