Explore the possibilities. Build your freestyle foundation.

Freestyle isn’t about how big you go or how many tricks you know. It’s about discovering new ways to move, interact with terrain, and play on your snowboard.

Let’s Play | Freestyle 1.0 is a two-day freestyle snowboard workshop designed to make freestyle progression approachable, intentional, and FUN. Whether you’re stepping into the terrain park for the first time, want to finally land that frontside 180, or simply feel like your riding could use a little more creativity, we’ll give you the tools to explore what’s possible at your pace.

Rather than chasing tricks through trial and error, we take a layered approach to progression. You’ll learn how to break tricks into manageable pieces, understand the relationship between your movements and the features you’re riding, and assess when you’re ready to add another layer or when taking a step back will ultimately move you forward.

We’ll explore:
  • Park Safety & Etiquette — Navigate the terrain park confidently and understand how to share features with other riders.
  • Reading Features with ASTML — Learn a simple framework for understanding the sequence of a trick and how it relates to the feature you’re riding.
  • Creating Pop — Explore ollies, nollies, rebound, and how to create energy from your snowboard.
  • Base of Support — Experiment with butters, presses, handplants, and other ways of finding balance beyond your bindings.
  • Starting & Stopping Rotation — Build the movements behind spins, 180s, 360s, boardslides, and more.
  • Self-Assessment — Develop the awareness to recognize when to refine a movement, add another layer, or simplify the challenge.

With small groups, individualized coaching, and video feedback, we’ll meet you where your freestyle riding is today and help you find an achievable next step.

You don’t need to think of yourself as a park rider. You just need to be ready to play.

This workshop has a minimum participation of 4 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 14 days of the start date you will receive a full refund. LIFT TICKETS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION PRICE

Sunday | Build the Playground

Meet in the lodge at 8:30am for breakfast and introductions.

We’ll start the morning together exploring some of the fundamental movements behind freestyle riding: creating and controlling rotation, bending and releasing the board, finding balance beyond our bindings, and building a solid platform to trick from. As the morning progresses, we’ll break into small groups based on goals and current freestyle experience.

From there, we’ll take those movements into the terrain park and introduce ASTML, our framework for reading features and understanding where each piece of a trick happens. The goal isn’t to immediately chase the trick it’s to better understand the relationship between the rider, the movement, and the feature.

This is where we start to play. Your coach will help you choose achievable challenges, experiment with new movements, and use video feedback to refine what you’re discovering.

Monday | Choose Your Adventure

Meet in the lodge at 8:30am before heading back out with your small group.

We’ll warm up by revisiting movements and discoveries from Day 1, then turn more of the day over to your goals and curiosity.

Maybe you want to finally put together that 180. Maybe it’s a butter, a press, your first ride-on box, or simply becoming more comfortable leaving the snow. Together with your coach, you’ll choose a trick, movement, or feature and break it into achievable steps, learning when to add another layer, when to refine what you already have, and when taking a step back creates the best path forward.

We’ll finish the workshop back in the lodge with après snacks, a little celebration, and time with your coach to identify where your freestyle progression can go next.
