Welcome to Mountain Lab, a three-day snowboard camp at White Pass, Washington, where carving, freestyle, and off-piste riding come together for one unforgettable weekend of progression.
Whether you’re coming from Seattle, Tacoma, or elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest, Mountain Lab is your chance to explore a different mountain, learn from an exceptional team of coaches, and take your riding further. From laying down cleaner carves to finding your confidence in the terrain park or exploring beyond the groomers, there’s something here for every snowboarder looking to discover what’s next.
Three Environments. Three Perspectives. One Connected Progression.
Over three days, you’ll explore:
Carving: Discover what your snowboard is capable of! Experiment with edge control, movement efficiency, and the skills that create powerful, clean turns.
Freestyle: Get creative! From butters and presses to jumps, spins, and terrain features, we’ll build your confidence and explore new possibilities in the park. Whether you’re new to freestyle or looking to refine your style, there’s plenty of room to play.
Off-Piste: Take your riding beyond the groomers! Explore natural terrain, variable snow, trees, and steeper lines while developing the tactics and versatility to ride more of the mountain.
Each environment brings its own challenges and opportunities. But what makes Mountain Lab special is discovering how the skills you develop in one can help you succeed in another. Throughout the long weekend, our coaches will help you explore those connections, recognize your strengths, and identify opportunities to take your riding further.
The result? Three great days of snowboarding and a fresh perspective on what’s possible.

Who’s It For?
Mountain Lab is for snowboarders who love learning, enjoy a challenge, and want to become more versatile riders.
You don’t need previous experience in every environment. Maybe you’ve never ventured into the terrain park, or perhaps you’re a confident freestyle rider who wants to improve your carving. That’s exactly why we’ve brought these three pathways together.
The minimum requirement is the ability to confidently link sustained turns on all blue groomed terrain. Bring your snowboard, your curiosity, and a willingness to try something new.

Day 1 — Friday, January 22
Carving | Find Your Edge
We’ll kick things off at White Pass with an 8:30 AM welcome, introductions, and a chance to get to know your coaches and fellow riders. We’ll talk about your goals for the weekend, introduce the Mountain Lab theme, and head out to make some turns.
Our first day focuses on carving, exploring how movement, balance, and board performance come together to create clean, powerful turns.
Whether you’re working toward your first true carved turns or refining your ability to manage speed, shape, and performance, we’ll use the mountain as our classroom. Expect plenty of experimentation, personalized feedback, and opportunities to see your riding from a new perspective.
We’ll capture video throughout the day, then gather at the lodge for movement analysis and a group discussion. It’s a chance to see what’s happening in your riding, celebrate discoveries, and start identifying what you’d like to explore over the next two days.
Day 2 — Saturday, January 23
Freestyle | Explore the Possibilities
Time to play!
Today we’re heading into the freestyle environment, where creativity, balance, timing, and a willingness to experiment open up a whole new side of snowboarding.
From flatland tricks and butters to jumps, spins, and park features, we’ll build progressions around your experience and goals. Whether you’re making your first visit to the terrain park or looking to clean up tricks you’ve been working on for years, our coaches will help you find the next step.
Freestyle is also an incredible environment for discovering how movements and skills transfer into other parts of your riding. You might be surprised by how much a little time playing around can improve your confidence and versatility across the mountain.
We’ll wrap up the afternoon with a Progression Sessions-hosted après gathering, sharing food, stories, and breakthroughs while enjoying some time together off the snow.
Still have energy? Optional night riding is available for anyone who wants to keep the good times rolling until 8:00 PM.
Day 3 — Sunday, January 24
Off-Piste | Put It All Together
For our final day, we’re heading beyond the groomers!
White Pass offers a fantastic mix of natural terrain, trees, steeper pitches, and variable snow. It’s the perfect environment to challenge your adaptability, experiment with line selection, and put your skills to work in new situations.
We’ll explore terrain appropriate to each group’s ability and goals, focusing on efficient movement, tactical choices, and the confidence to navigate more of the mountain.
Along the way, we’ll revisit discoveries from the previous two days and explore how the skills you’ve been developing apply when the terrain becomes less predictable.
In the afternoon, we’ll bring everyone together for our final Mountain Lab debrief. It’s a chance to share what we’ve learned, recognize connections between the three environments, and celebrate the progress we’ve made together.
We’ll wrap up around 4:30 PM, with a Progression Sessions gift to remember the experience.
