Join the team at Progression Sessions for a shred journey to Mt Hood, a volcano just outside of Portland Oregon where you’ll get to experience a Pacific Northwest summer like no other; slushy, soft turns and world class parks aloft a heavy winter snowpack make this destination a world renowned mecca for progression. In This session we’re focusing on FREESTYLE where the pros ride, 4 parks, and features for every level! Match that with coaching from the best in the biz and there’s no end to the possibilities of progression.

Timberline Info

Your journey starts at the Portland airport where we’ll pick you up and take you to our private lodge walking distance from main street and 6 miles shy of the Ski area base. If you prefer to drive you can meet us in Government camp where you can park your car and leave the rest of the driving to us.

In case you are curious to see what accommodations are being offered prior to arrival, here some links to our 3 separate houses all within a 3 min walk of each other.

Mt Hood Chalet

Snow Bird

We’ll spend our five days on snow focused on you and your freestyle goals. Mt. Hood hosts a wide variety of terrain, so if you’re looking to stomp your first 180, get that 270 off a down rail, or dial in that wildcat on the landing bag, the opportunity awaits.

Off hill we’ll support your adventure through a variety of optional restorative activities like yoga, forest waterfall hikes, and lakeside meditation. We support your snowboard progression through in depth video analysis sessions, and movement based dryland sessions. Or if you just want to chill, socialize with a beverage, a game, or in a hot tub, options are abundant.

We’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be cooking at our lodge for a family style feast, or we’ll make reservations at one of the many local restaurants. We’ll cap the entire session off with ceremonious gifts and celebration as by the end of the session we’ll be a pretty tight group, which means you’ll not only be leaving with tired legs but most definitely with new friends you can lean on to propel your snow story even further.

This is an advanced to expert Snowboard session, participants must be able to safely make turns on groomed black terrain and must have had some exposure to a terrain park. This session has a minimum participation of 8 persons per discipline to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 30 days of travel you will receive a full refund.

Day 1, Monday, Arrival Day

Arrive at PDX by 4pm or Government Camp by 5:30pm. We’ll get moved in and have a leisurely dinner at our lodge where we’ll discuss the week ahead, have a chance to review your ambitions with your coach, and get to know your fellow campers.

Day 2, Tuesday, Fundamentals and Exploration

We’ll leave for the lifts around 8:30 and you’ll spend the day with your coach getting yourself, your gear, and your ambitions aligned with the PARK. On this day your coach will take you through a variety of riding activities and terrain elements so we can get a clear picture of you as a rider, and you can gain a clear understanding of available features to more clearly set some achievable goals. After riding we’ll head back to our lodge and have a chance to change and relax before we’re off as a group to Trillium lake for a walk with a view. We’ll follow it up with dinner at our Lodge.

Day 3, Wednesday, Focused Riding and Rider Analysis

You’ll spend the day with your coach working on your goals. Coaches will spend a little extra time on this day collecting video for later deep dive on the big screen at our lodge. Off-hill video analysis and performance mapping are two of the many methods your coach will use to get you on the path to progression. Through detailed comparison of your current performance and your ideal performance, we’ll connect small tasks and subtle movements to your greater goals, unlocking a sequence of skill acquisition that is personal, achievable, and easy to understand.

Day 4, Thursday, Focused Riding and Recovery

This is the day that fatigue usually sets in, to reduce the chance of injury we’re going to take a very careful approach to your progression. Based on the lessons of the previous evenings rider analysis session, your coach will take you through a series of tasks to move you closer to your goals without pushing you past any physical limits. After snowboarding we’ll head down the mountain for a restorative yoga session some where with a view followed by dinner al fresco.

Day 5, Friday, Coaches Clinics and Mystery Activity

Each coach will have prepared a clinic in a specific environment and you’ll get to choose what you want to do, for example: JTB leads a Session on ground tricks; Nick leads a clinic on wildcats; while Eric leads coaching session on the medium jump, or if you need a break from the group you can take the time and get some personal shred laps in. Afterwards we’ll have a surprise activity, followed by a hardy dinner at our lodge.

Day 6, Saturday, Focused Fun Riding and Celebration

For our final day on the hill we’ll to put all that effort to good use and ride till our legs hurt. We’ll make sure to catch a clip of your progression and take in the good vibes with our new friends. Afterward you’ll have a chance to pack up a bit before our final Celebration and video expose of your efforts!

Day 7, Saturday, Departure Day

All good things must come to an end (at least a temporary one). Departing flights must be scheduled after 9am. Coaches will make sure you are at the Airport at least 90min minutes before your flight departs.
