This workshop is designed to take your freestyle game to the next level! Through a wholistic approach to skill building (on snow and in the Wood Ward bunker) Our experienced coaches will push your mental game as much as your physical performance to ensure you are progressing with style and confidence.
To build your skills our experienced freestyle coaches will take advantage of:
- Real time video analysis, where your coach will capture video of your performance for immediate review on the chair.
- Off-snow group movement analysis, where you’ll learn how to break down your ideal tricks into achievable sequential pieces.
- Indoor trampoline and park boards session, where we’ll utilize the Woodward Bunker develop movements and air awareness with less consequence.
- Peer to peer coaching, where you’ll learn how to thoughtfully propel your friends performance while managing their fears.
- Self Assessment and the FLOW State.. so you know when to refine a trick, add a layer, or move back a step.
Whether you’re looking to add a grab to your backside 180, or hoping to unlock the confidence to pop that Wildcat, this workshop is a great opportunity to build skills that will keep you progressing for years to come. We build groups daily based on each persons existing skill and experience so you’ll be learning at a perfect pace.
This workshop is designed for advanced snowboarders who can confidently hit small to medium park features. This workshop has a minimum participation of 4 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 14 days of the start date you will receive a full refund. Sunday
Meet in the Lodge at 8:30am. After a brief group shred we’ll break into small groups, getting to know the layout of the parks while gaining clear understanding of your current skill and where you would like to take your progression. In the afternoon we’ll change out of our snowboard gear and move to the Wood Ward Bunker where we’ll break down one of your “dream tricks” into achievable components and practice the movements in an environment that promotes confidence.
Monday
Meet at 8:30am. We’ll start the day off in our small groups, warming up and revisiting the previous day’s lessons on snow. We’ll then adjust our focus to a single feature or trick. This could be a deep dive into a complex ground trick, spinning onto a rail, catching air over the medium jump, etc. allowing our ambitions and creativity to steer us through the day. At lunch we’ll gather as a larger group for an indoor Movement Analysis session fueled videos of your performance. In the afternoon we’ll pair participants up to coach each other with guidance from our team. We’ll finish off with a short celebration in the lodge, where you’ll have the opportunity to share what you’ve learned.
