It’s still winter in Oregon, and many mountains have extended their season well into July. To celebrate this amazing winter we have decided to host our first ever “Boarder’s Bootcamp”. This session is designed for one group of friends with a similar level experience who would like to ride with Progression Sessions Founder and Head Coach JTB for one full week. Since we’ll be writing our own script for this event, what we ride, where we go, and what we learn is still to be determined, but everything we do is guarantied to be tailored to the groups goals and the best opportunities available for fun, safe, progression!

We support your education by taking care of the details, whether flying in or driving, once you arrive we handle all the necessities, so you can seamlessly transition from shreducation to relaxation. We’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be serving up a family style feast at our lodge, or we’ll make reservations at one of the many local restaurants.

Day 2, Sunday, Technical Fundamentals

After a hardy breakfast will leave for the mountain (approx. 8:30). Our first day’s shredding focuses on the mechanics of snowboarding, “what we do to make our snowboard stop, turn, etc.” We’ll explore some unconventional tricks to create some clarity around the cause and effect relationships in snowboarding. We’ll also take a good look at your personal riding, collect some video for future review, and offer suggestions to get you sliding more efficiently. After a full day at the mountain we’ll head back to our lodge, you’ll have a chance to change and relax, before dinner. In the evening we’ll host a clinic on waxing and caring for your equipment.

Day 3, Monday, Have fun and refine your shred

This day’s training focuses on taking something you can already do and making it perfect. Refining your riding is a process but it pays huge when trying tackle bigger challenges later. In this session we aim to tackle that process so after you leave Timberline you’ll be armed with a process to keep your progression going.

After snow boarding we’ll eat dinner and do something else fun TBD

Day 4, Tuesday, Something New

We’ll tackle a new trick, a new turn, or maybe a new terrain element. We’ll collaborate on our next best move to expend our horizons on a snowboard.

Day 5, Wednesday, We’re going for a walk

This day is all about exploring the fringes of Timberline’s vast terrain. In this session we’ll dive into what it means to rely on each other for safety and security on the fringes of the resort.

After snowboarding we’ll hit up a local restaurant for some hearty grinds and some good times with our fellow shredders.
