Any move, turn, or maneuver on your skies can be broken down and explained through fundamental skills, and the better you understand these skills the more efficiently you’ll ski. Through in-depth examination of the 5 ski fundamentals, on snow movement analysis, and detailed off snow video analysis, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how subtle body movements relate to skiing outcomes in a big way. By the end of the session you’ll be better prepared to make thoughtful adjustments to your own skiing, leading to less repeat injuries, more progression, and ultimately more FUN!
We scheduled this event in May to take advantage of the Northwest’s best “Second Winter” destination. When most ski areas are pairing down or switching off, Timberline is actually expanding their operations hosting, 4+ terrain parks (including a half pipe); up to 4,500 vertical ft. of lift driven sliding from the top of Palmer to our Lodge, wide open groomers, and plentiful backcountry opportunities above and beyond the lifts.
The adventure doesn’t stop when we leave the mountain, every evening we’ll host an optional activity; waterfall hike, movement analysis sessions, restorative stretching, etc. or if you prefer you can spend the afternoon relaxing in one of our on site hot tubs. To keep you going we’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be serving up a family style feast at our lodge, or we’ll make reservations at one of the many local restaurants.
