Any trick, turn, or maneuver on a snowboard can be broken down and explained through fundamental skills, and the better you understand these skills the more efficiently you’ll ride. Through in-depth examination of the 6 snowboard fundamentals, on snow movement analysis, and detailed off snow video analysis, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how subtle body movements relate to snowboarding outcomes in a big way. By the end of the session you’ll be better prepared to make thoughtful adjustments to your own riding, leading to less injuries, more progression, and ultimately more FUN!

We’ll spend five full days on snow focused on you and your goals. Since education is what we do so we hire the BEST coaches in the world, and we ensure you level by keeping our groups small (4 riders per 1 coach).

  • Joshua Thompson-Bourrie, Progression Sessions Founder, AASI-W Ed Staff, and Staff Trainer at Palisades Tahoe
  • Erick Espinoza, Competitive Freestyle Coach, AASI-W Alumni Staff, and Staff Trainer at Jackson Hole
  • Stephanie Wilkerson, AASI National Team Alumni, AASI-W Ed Staff, Founder of Altitude Snowboarding

We scheduled this event in May to take advantage of the Northwest’s best “Second Winter” destination. When most ski areas are pairing down or switching off, Timberline is actually expanding their operations hosting; 4+ terrain parks, 4,500 vertical ft. of lift driven sliding from the top of Palmer to our Lodge, wide open groomers, and plentiful off-piste opportunities.

This is the day mental and physical fatigue usually sets in.. so we are mixing things up to keep you engaged and growing. Depending on group ambitions and snow conditions we will do one of these options:

The mountain is prime with natural opportunities to apply your new found skills. In this clinic we’ll take a mindful approach to expanding you’re skill set off the groomed. Whether your new to variable conditions, or you only eat granola and ride in the trees this session will have something for you. For the adventurous you’ll have the option to forgo the car ride down the mountain and we’ll ride the 3 miles back to town instead, by way of the Alpine or Glade trails. After riding we’ll host a relaxing dinner at our lodge followed by another video review session.

This day is all about you and your personal goals, wherever, and whatever you want to ride is the focus.
