Join us early this winter for two full days of freeride progression. The focus of this early season workshop is efficiency. We’ll take a detailed look at your riding with the aim to get your body, board, and brain working together seamlessly. We’ll explore a variety of tasks from carving, to switch riding, as well as some basic freestyle.

Through in-depth examination of the 6 snowboard fundamentals, on snow movement analysis, and detailed off snow video analysis, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how subtle body movements relate to snowboarding outcomes in a big way. By the end of the workshop you’ll be better prepared to make thoughtful adjustments to your own riding, leading to less repeat injuries, more progression, and ultimately more FUN!

If you are training for your level 2 this course is the 2nd in a series of 3 to get you on the path to taking your Ride Exam!

This workshop is designed for the intermediate to advanced snowboarders. This workshop has a minimum participation of 4 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 14 days of the start date you will receive a full refund.

Register 4 or more people on the same reservation and receive a 5% discount!

AASI Certified Instructors receive an additional discount please inquire.

Wednesday

We’ll spend the morning examining the relationship between body movement and board performance. Through a variety of tasks you’ll discover techniques for maintaining balance while exploring the limits of your boards design. In the afternoon we’ll focus on a single environment (example: carving, ground tricks, skidded turns, etc.) we’ll keep this on approachable terrain so you can focus on the task rather than managing a harder run. We’ll shoot video as well for later discussion off snow.

Thursday

We’ll start the day off warming up and revisiting the previous day’s lessons. We’ll then adjust our focus to a second environment, (example: switch riding, side hits, short turns, etc.) upping the challenge from the previous day blending efficient movements with dynamic terrain and/or outcome. We’ll finish off the day exploring all we can, while making any final adjustments and developing a short plan for future progression.
