In This session we’re focusing on all aspects of snowboarding, match that with coaching from the best in the biz and there’s no end to the possibilities of progression.

Timberline Info

Your journey starts at the Portland airport where we’ll pick you up and take you to our private lodge walking distance from main street and 6 miles shy of the Ski area base. If you prefer to drive you can meet us in Government camp where you can park your car and leave the rest of the driving to us. In case you are curious to see what accommodations are being offered prior to arrival, here is a link to check out the “Big Bear Cabin” which will be home for the next week!

Big Bear Cabin

We’ll spend our five days on snow focused on you and your goals. Mt. Hood hosts a wide variety of terrain, so if you’re looking to improve your turns, stomp your first 180, take a 50 laps through the halfpipe, or finally dial in your euro carve, the opportunity awaits. We’ll even get up to 3 days in Timberlines famous FTC (freestyle training center) a small additional fee of $30 will be assessed for access on the days we decide to ride the FTC

Off hill we’ll support your adventure through a variety of optional restorative activities like yoga, forest waterfall hikes, and lakeside meditation. And for those who like to socialize with a beverage, a game, or in a hot tub, options are abundant. We’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be cooking at our lodge for a family style feast, or we’ll make reservations at one of the many local restaurants. We’ll cap the entire session off with ceremonious gifts and celebration as by the end of the session we’ll be a pretty tight group, which means you’ll not only be leaving with tired legs but most definitely with new friends you can lean on to propel your snow story even further.

This is an intermediate to expert Snowboard session, participants must be able to safely make turns with confidence on all blue terrain. This session has a minimum participation of 6 persons to operate, if minimum participation is not met within 30 days of travel you will receive a full refund, or you can elect to convert your reservation to a private or semi private session.

Book 4 or more persons on the same reservation and receive a 5% discount.

Day 1, Saturday, Arrival Day

Arrive at PDX by 4pm or Government Camp by 5:30pm. We’ll get moved in and have a leisurely dinner at our lodge where we’ll discuss the week ahead, have a chance to review your ambitions for the week with your coach, and get to know your fellow campers.

Day 2, Sunday, Fundamentals and Exploration

We’ll leave for the lifts around 8:30 and you’ll spend the day with your coach getting yourself, your gear, and your ambitions aligned with the mountain. After riding we’ll head back to our lodge and have a chance to change and relax before we’re off as a group to Mirror Lake for a walk with a view. We’ll follow it up with dinner at the local brewery.

Day 3, Monday, Focused Riding and Tuning Workshop

We’ll leave for the lifts around 8:30 and you’ll spend the day with your coach honed into a specific environment or skill set. Video analysis and performance mapping are two of the many methods your coach may use to get you on the path to progression. After riding we’ll head back to our lodge, for a workshop on waxing and tuning your board, and a feast at our lodge.

Day 4, Tuesday, Summer Solstice (Big Send)

You’ll spend the morning riding with your group, focused in on your goals, after lunch we’ll change it up and head beyond the lifts for a journey to Illumination Rock. This gathering of great riders and skiers only happens once a year on the summer solstice!  Afterwards we’ll head back to Government Camp for a well deserved dinner in town.

Day 5, Wednesday, Coaches Clinics and Waterfall Hike

This is the day that fatigue usually sets in, so to reduce the chance of injury we’re going to leave the mountain a little early, and head to the windsurfing mecca of Hood River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. On route we’ll get a chance to see the northside of Hood with its craggy glaciers and rugged terrain and we may even catch a glimpse of Mt. Adams. In town we’ll spend some time at the waterfront park checking out the view and stretching out our legs, tour the full sail brewery, and have a nice dinner in town.

Day 6, Thursday, Focused Fun Riding and Celebration

For our final day on the hill we’ll to put all that effort to good use and ride till our legs hurt. We’ll stomp the trick on camera and take in the good vibes with our new friends. Afterward you’ll have a chance to pack up a bit before our final Celebration at our Lodge!

Day 7, Friday, Departure Day

All good things must come to an end (or you could just stay for our Freestyle session??). Departing flights must be scheduled after 9am. Coaches will make sure you are at the Airport at least 90min minutes before your flight departs.
