Join us this May for our first annual “Snowboard Coach’s Camp”. This event is designed specifically for dedicated instructors, coaches, pros, and influencers to get together and share what they know, while gaining insight on new ways to push their personal best in a variety of environments. Each day will host a theme and experience based on the best conditions of the day, examples include; Creative Carving, Jumps and Jibs, Rotational Relationships, Peaks and Powder, etc…

We scheduled this event in May to take advantage of the Northwest’s best “Second Winter” destination. When most ski areas are pairing down or switching off, Timberline is actually expanding their operations hosting; 4+ terrain parks (including a halfpipe); 4,500 vertical ft. of lift driven sliding from the top of Palmer to our Lodge, wide open groomers, and plentiful backcountry opportunities above and beyond the lifts.

Timberline Info

The adventure doesn’t stop when we leave the mountain, every evening we’ll host an optional activity; waterfall hike, movement analysis sessions, restorative yoga, etc. or if you prefer you can spend the afternoon relaxing in one of our on site hot tubs, or competing for bragging rights at the pool table. To keep you going we’ll fuel your body and mind with good nutrition, hardy homemade breakfasts, healthy items to build a perfect sack lunch, and snacks whenever you’re hungry. For dinners we’ll be serving up a family style feast at our lodge, or we’ll make reservations at one of the many local restaurants.

In the afternoon we’ll expand our days journey to everything off-piste, where we’ll explore tactics for getting the most out Timberline’s unique natural terrain. When the lifts stop turning we’ll head back to our lodge by car, or by way of the Alpine Trail for 3 extra miles of riding. After ripping you’ll have a chance to relax and wax up your board, before we’re off for dinner and drinks in town!

Day 3, Monday, Creative Carving

Mondays are usually empty on the mountain, that means wide open opportunities to take your carved turns to the next level, in this clinic we’ll explore a variety of techniques to lay down that perfect trench, then we’ll take our newfound skills to less conventional applications. We’ll capture video on snow so we can take a more analytical look at your style back at our lodge.

Day 4, Tuesday, Jumps and Jibs

The mountain is prime with opportunities in and out of the terrain park to get creative, in this clinic we’ll take a mindful approach to expanding you’re your bag ‘O’ tricks. We’ll kick this session off by focusing on efficient relationships between movements, muscle groups, balance, pop, and rotation. With a rejuvenated foundation for expression we’ll seek out the features and tricks that best suite your progression. After riding we’ll host an optional hike to Tamanawas Falls, followed by dinner and game night at our lodge.

Day 5, Wednesday, Peaks and Powder

For the first half of the day each coach will lead a session in a specific environment and you’ll get to choose what you want to do, for example: Chris leads a session in the Halfpipe, while Steve takes a group to the trees. After lunch you’ll have the choice to take a guided hike up the mountain to to Crater Rock (elevation 10,300ft) for a massive off-piste decent, or stay in-bounds for an afternoon of progression with new friends. We’ll follow up our final day on the mountain with a celebration worthy of our efforts.
