This workshop is all about getting off the groomed and into the wild; going beyond how to turn and focusing on the tactics that’ll keep you safe and having fun in dynamic terrain. We’ll explore wooded gullies, open bowls, and some “hike to” opportunities at Alpine Meadows.

In practice we will analyze the MOMENTS that comprise a variety of turns, allowing us to expose the various relationships between; body movement, mass, inertia, equipment, and surface. With a deeper understanding “how snowboarding works” and a “process” to analyze it, you’ll be better able to critique your own riding and make thoughtful decisions as you progress.

In this second instalment of our “Carving” series we explore a variety of regional styles and their impact to the sport by examining the methods of Ryan Knapton and Kazunori Hirama (AKA Rama).
We’ll break down the where, when, and why to discover HOW, ultimately using their inspiring style to unlock new levels of awesome in our own riding.

This workshop is focused on getting you out of your comfort zone, and pushing your riding in a variety of directions to achieve a new personal best, on the best terrain in Tahoe. Parks, steeps, trees, and hike to terrain, we’ll access it all under that spring sun.
This workshop is intended for a wide range of SNOWBOARDERS from intermediate to expert.

This is a deep dive into the skills that great snowboarding is built on.
In this session we examine the relationship between body movement and snowboard performance. Through a variety of tasks ranging from dynamic carving, to short turns, and basic freestyle, you’ll discover techniques for maintaining balance while exploring the limits of your equipment.

This is an adventure to the active volcanic region of Chilean Patagonia. In this session we’ll focus on developing the necessary skills to promote safe decision making in consequential terrain. To do this we will need to get friendly with some essential backcountry gear and learn to work as a team when navigating the path less traveled.
