This workshop is all about getting off the groomed and into the wild; going beyond how to turn and focusing on the tactics that’ll keep you safe and having fun in dynamic terrain. We’ll explore wooded gullies, open bowls, and some “hike to” opportunities at Alpine Meadows.

In this second installment of our “Foundations” series we explore the physics behind balanced skiing.

In practice we will analyze the MOMENTS that comprise a variety of turns, allowing us to expose the various relationships between; body movement, mass, inertia, equipment, and surface. With a deeper understanding “how skiing works” and a “process” to analyze it, you’ll be better able to critique your own skiing and make thoughtful decisions as you progress.

In this second instalment of our “Carving” series we explore a variety of regional styles and their impact to the sport by examining the methods of Ryan Knapton and Kazunori Hirama (AKA Rama).

We’ll break down the where, when, and why to discover HOW, ultimately using their inspiring style to unlock new levels of awesome in our own riding.

In this second instalment of our “off-piste” series we up the challenge by approaching some of the BIG LINES at Palisades Tahoe.

The focus for this workshop is to push your existing skill to the next level while safely promoting continuity and flow in EXTREME terrain.

Our final installment of our “Foundations” series we explore the various nuances of skill acquisition beyond cause and effect. You’ll learn how to address and manage the emotional, physical, and environmental influences, that effect learning.

In this session are primary aim for progression is FREESTYLE, however we’re keeping our focus broad so we can take advantage of all the opportunities this very special week provides; from surfy laps in T-Lines transition park to dialing in your frontside boardslide in the FTC, we match diverse terrain with your goals so you’ll leave with an unparalleled level of strength and confidence.
